Flipboard for Android leaks, no longer exclusive to SGSIII

Flipboard for Android leaks, no longer exclusive to SGSIII

The hit iOS app has been ported to Android as a Samsung exclusive... until XDA happened.

Android users rejoice, for another excellent app has made it to the ever growing platform. Flipboard, a social reader app known for its unique flip based UI, was expected to launch alongside the Galaxy S III as a Samsung exclusive app. However, the Android community doesn't quite have the level of patience that exclusives (or product release dates) demand. Thus it was only a matter of time before a user on XDA Developers decided to pull the apk (the installer file) from their sample Galaxy S III to share with the world.

Our initial impression is that it runs well, even on older devices such as the original Galaxy S. It gives Google Currents some stiff competition, which can only be a good thing.
