Not so long ago, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare blasted its way onto Xbox LIVE. More recently, we reported the likely news that American Nightmare would also be making its way to Steam thanks to some clever detective work. While there was evidence that it was coming to Steam, there wasn’t any indication of the all-important ‘when’. That is, until now.
Alan Wake’s American Nightmare has just popped up on the Steam store at a pre-order price point of $13.49USD, while owners of the original Alan Wake can score an additional 15% off this price for a grand total of $11.24USD. Not a bad price to pay for a game that offers around five hours of campaign and an addictive horde mode that I sunk dozens of hours into. American Nightmare is scheduled to unlock on Steam on the 23rd of May.
Better yet, if you’re looking for options beyond Steam, the DRM-hating folk at GOG.com are offering American Nightmare for $13.49 and the original Alan Wake for $14.99 (which is half the price it is on Steam). If you purchase Alan Wake from GOG.com, you can also score 25% off American Nightmare from their store, too. GOG is reporting that American Nightmare will be available for download on the 22nd of May, but assuming that’s US time, it will most likely release at the same time as Steam.
Will you be purchasing Alan Wake’s American Nightmare?
