A four-door Bugatti Veyron? What lunacy is this?
You're looking at the Galibier, a concept that Bugatti has been toying with since way back in 2009. It's been on-again-off-again since then, but the world needs this car to exist. Just look at it.
Will it cost the Earth?
If you have to ask, you can't afford it. Bugatti boss Wolfgang Durheimer – a man who makes £1 million Veyrons –has said that the price of the Galibier will be "extraordinary." Still, you'll get a lot of bang for your buck – the four-door sedan is expected to match the Veyron's 1000hp output with its 16-cylinder engine.
Who would buy such a thing?
That's the question that's kept Bugatti bosses up at night since 2009 – a 1000hp sports car is all very well, but who's going to buy a 1000hp four-door sedan? A Russian oligarch who's settled down and needs to do the school run at 250mph?
