Sure, you might think that shiny hardware is cool and all, but really... just don't go there.
Especially don't go there if the hardware is something you use all the time, with your actual hands, like the new chromed Xbox 360 controllers released next month.
Why?
Because after five minutes of using them, you will be so offended by the filth and muck seemingly eminating from your own pores that you'll want to shower in bleach.
We had our own disgusting experience along these lines with a limited edition Razer keyboard a few years ago. It was horrible. You kind of expect it to show up every fingerprint, but it shows up every smear of oil as well. It's a natural process, and all, but I don't need to be reminded of it!
Plus, after just an hour's use, that keyboard was skank central. No one else in the office would touch it.
So imagine your Xbox controller getting the same treatment. No one needs that trauma.
