South Australia's Attorney General still messing with game ratings

So much for a ratings system for games that's in line with other media. Why for you hate logic, South Australia?!

One of the great things about the possibilty of reform when it comes to game ratings and the adoption of an R18 step in the process, is the idea that it will bring games in line with how other media classified in Australia.

Except, of course, if you're the Attorney General of South Australia, where current AG John Rau has just announced that he feels that the MA15 rating should be removed entirely if an R18 rating is introduced. "My intention is that the South Australian legislation will prevent the sale of MA15+ games to minors. This move will give parents greater certainty about the appropriateness of games for their children," he said in a public statement.

*facepalm*

So, South Australian Atomicans, I have to ask - is there something in the job description for your AG that calls for this kind of thing? Really?
