I have no idea how Ewa, the old Mistress of the Links, used to do this, but I imagine it involved pretty much what I've been doing... just bookmarking odd and interesting stuff that makes ME think "man, I need to spend some time on the weekend looking at this", and then sharing it.
So, for now, you have a new Mistress. Wait...
Anyway, moving right along, let's kick off with Fashion it So. Imagine a blog that combines the astute fashion observations of Go Fug Yourself (you don't know that? FOR SHAME!) with nerdy appreciation of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
I hope you like half Klingons in body suits.
You may well need a palette cleanser after that - something short and sharp. Well, a Tron lightcycle game written in a mere 219 BYTES sounds like just what you need. Talk about terse coding, these guys wrote the half-page book on it.
This one's a bit of a personal fave at the moment. It's not particular new, but as part of my new-found love of all things suited and tailored, as driven by a deep love of the film Inception, I cannot stop reading over this blog entry. It is an in-depth examination of the costume design in the film, and hyper-awesome.
It'll also explain why I'll be wearing a suit next time you see me.
As you can probably tell, writing lotsa words in no time flat is kind of... easy, for me at least. However, every now and then even I need a reward. Enter Written? Kitten!. Come on - just start typing.
If majestic views of alien worlds is more your thing, then surely these new views of sunrise on Mars will be more than enough to inspire you to write. Or at least gawp in awe.
Finally, here's one for the boardgame geeks - a new web series hosted by none other than Wil Wheaton (that's Hwil Hwheaton, to Family Guy fans) playing boardgames with some celebrity mates. Yes. It's as awesome as it sounds.
Have a good weekend, gang!
