When we first saw some solid previews of True Crime: Hong Kong, a few years ago at E3, it looked like a wonderful combination of Hong Kong cinema and open world action. Then it got cancelled (boo!), and the more recently it got reborn as Sleeping Dogs, under the tender dev care of the team at Square Enix.
Yay!
But to say the game's own lifespan has already mirrored the kind of ups and downs you'd expect of a Chow Yun Fat character in a film of similar morals is an understatement. Regardless, it's looking like Square Enix are doing lots of good work shepherding the game to a final release, and this latest trailer shows off the sights of HOng Kong, and the challenges of setting an open world game in such an exotic location.
