What's more disappointing? iPad 3 or Mass Effect 3?

It's launch/announcement day for two giant brands, but out of the new iPad, and BioWare's space epic Mass Effect 3, whose fans can claim the bitterest letdown?

They say good things come in threes, but maybe that's being pushed a little today. In the last few hours hordes of Apple fans have had their first official glimpse of the iPad 3, and legions of Mass Effect fans have gotten to log onto third installment of the game. It should be great news for geeks of all stripes...

But.

Well, we're yet to get our hands on an iPad, but there's grumbles about it already. Sure, it's faster, clearer, and features better connectivity, but it's heavier and with battery life no better than previous generations. Even the name - simply 'iPad' has folks already worrying over massive brand confusion.

Truly, first world problems.

I should also point out, that there really is no more point writing about the iPad (yes, I'm aware of the not so subtle irony), as The Onion has written possibly the best piece of all.

I do have personal experience of Mass Effect 3, however, and... look, maybe I was putting too much faith into it. It's dangerous to buy into the hype, but being so exposed to it can make that hard. Not to mention the deeply personal connection that you develop to a game that you can shape so easily. After a quick browse of forums this morning, after I had a scary moment importing my save, I discovered I was not alone. On all platforms, imports are simply not working, or are somewhat broken - faces are not coming across.

It sounds kinda lame (and, yeah, again, very first world), but if the main character - YOU - in the third installment of a game suddenly looks like someone else, it really does break that initial immersion that worked so smoothly in the second game.

So I'm trying to tell myself that the actor playing my Shep had a coke-fuelled car crash and the reconstruction was a little off. You know, Empire Strikes Back style.

But enough about me? What about you - which product disappoints you guys more. Let us know in this week's Atomic Poll*.
