Viral of the week: invisible Mercedes

The invisible Mercedes from James Bond has become a reality via a new fuel cell marketing campaign. Watch the video.

The invisible Mercedes car from James Bond: Die Another Day is considered to be a low point for many fans of the series -- it was simply too far-fetched to be taken seriously and was arguably the catalist that led to 2006's more realistic reboot.

Well, it turns out the the concept wasn't that ridiculous after all. Mercedes has released an 'invisible' car into the wild to promote its new hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicle, slated for release by 2014.

The stunt was achieved by covering one side of the vehicle in a mat of LEDs and mounting a Canon 5D Mark II digital SLR camera on the other side while shooting in video mode.
