Rumour mill: Samsung Galaxy S III to get 4.8in full HD display and ceramic build?

Will Sammy's next flagship phone steal the MWC show without even making an appearance?

samsung galaxy S III specs

Samsung Galaxy S III specs are highly prized round these parts as we gear up for the next-gen successor to the Galaxy S II in March (we hope). And it looks like BGR might have hit the jackpot as their Samsung source just keeps on whistling.

The image above might be a wishful render but the specs themselves sound pretty solid. It looks like the Samsung Galaxy S III will sport a 4.8in full HD 1080p resolution display with a positively cinematic 16:9 aspect ratio.

Sticking with the outside, BGR's source also reckons that the Samsung Galaxy S III's case will mark a departure from the me-too smartphones we've seen lately. It'll be made from ceramics – so the S III could one nice feeling handset indeed.

Sammy is also set to squeeze a 1.5GHz quad-core Exynos processor into the Galaxy S III – and we've heard this rumour enough times to believe it's a winner. Other unsurprising specs include 4G LTE and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – no self respecting flagship phone would launch in 2012 without these two in the bag.

Camera-wise, the Galaxy S III might rock an 8MP camera round back and a 2MP on the front, but no extra details on features or apertures are forthcoming for now.

Enough of the darn rumours already! Show me the phone!!

What just 4 points separate The big A from the big G on a provacy score?

I thought Gogle was baaaaad and that iother company prostine.

Not much difference, and what I have said all along - they are ALL "evil" - to use the vernacular of some fans.

And ... has anyone bothered to notice and call the utter hypocrisy from this site? They condemn other companies (well google really) for prvacy invsion but have installed a dozen or so trackers - according to the FF add-on Ghostery.

Scott McNealy is right - WHAT provacy?

Whil in theory, once they have your info that may be true, the big issue with 'G' is their tendency to STEAL it in the first place.

Their new single policy to share data across all their sites is causing alarm in both the US and EU.

I'm sure the phone is a copy of someone elses

Yes, yes, there are "G-alarmists" everywhere who turn a completely blind eye to the transgressions of others. Hw do you think the "great artists" comes by YOUR daya??

Theft! Bu then, that's what "great artists" do.
Anyone else is just copying theft ... baaaad boyz.

Android has already overtaken ios. Sez who? Woz ... that's who! He likes his 'beautiful iphone' but reckons Android's better ... it simply can do more.

"My primary phone is the iPhone. I love the beauty of it.
(nothing wrong with a bit of loyalty from this very clever chap.)
But I wish it did all the things my Android does, I really do."

ICS is generally very well received by impartial reviewers and gets around lots of BS patents.
The next Android iteration better be ntouchable from a BS point of view, it's too distracting from the main game - making better phones and tablets.

Jeez Photo, 'Android or death' mentality...

My comment about stealing was about Google's admitted (and caught several times) tendency to steal data, whether by WiFi snooping, circumventing Browser privacy rules, pretty well any way they can until they get caught, apologise and look for another way.

I'm sick of the whole Android is best crap out of the fanboy camp.

I don't consider either OS to be 'better'', just Android looking for all the world to contain stolen code, and STILL having glaring security issues.

The comments of one person, wishing his phone had some Android features does not mean Android has overtaken iOS, just it has some features iOS doesn't and vice-versa.

I know in your mind Photo, stealing is fine as long as the end result is 'choice' (or your take on 'choice').

Patents may or may not be BS, however I've yet to see anything that points to you being an authority on such, in fact much to the contrary. As I've said many times, let the lawyers and courts sort that out.

Strangely enough there are enough impartial reviewers that still point to issues with ICS, just as some find points they don't like in iOS. It's all very much in the mind of the beholder.

'One person'?? Hahahaha - Jobs' 'other half', no less. I've always respected Woz and HIS opinion certainly proves there's more than one game in town. As it SHOULD be, monopolies usually SUCK.

The Galaxy S3 will probably do very well because IT DESERVES TO!

Android is best -- Whaaaa???? It's just a bloody good alternative and is giving ios a REAL hard run for OUR money!

Play the supposed "stolen code violin" all you like, Oracle have ALSO just received a kick in the gonads for trying to cash in on Android success. Too 'king bad. The state of the art often overtakes players who thought they had it wrapped up.
