Lumigon dares to tread where Vertu went before: this time with a high-end Android smartphone, the T2.

mwc 2012 lumigon reveals stylish t2 bang & olufsen android phone

Too posh to prod a regular Android smartphone? Lumigon’s T2 wants to snuggle up next to your Ferrari keys and Dupont lighter with a reinvention of the luxury phone, running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

Humming away beneath its machined body and 3.8in screen is a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, powering the Lumigon T2’s Scandinavian box of tricks.

Those tricks – apart from making your friends realise how incredibly successful you are – include an infra-red transmitter for controlling your hi-fi (did we mention it has Bang & Olufsen ICEpower audio?) and gesture recognition that allows you to navigate the Lumigon T2’s menus with a wave of your kidskin-gloved hand.

Expected to arrive in Asia and Europe in the first half of 2012, the T2 hasn’t been priced yet, but we think you can guess which end of the budget spectrum Lumigon is targeting. We’ll be tapping it up soon to tell you whether it might just be worth emptying your wallet for.
