Confirming what we basically knew all along, Nvidia has revealed that quad-core Tegra 3 processors will be in our hands this quarter. In the company's yearly earnings report, the Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang revealed that "this quarter we are expecting to ship Tegra 3 based superphones."
Nvidia had previously teased the launch of quad-core phones at Mobile World Congress, and the company's now confirmed that we'll be seeing Tegra 3-powered devices on the stands at MWC.
No great surprises, then – manufacturers from HTC and LG to Asus have been hinting that they'll be launching Tegra 3 smartphones at MWC, but it's nice to have confirmation from the horse's mouth that we'll be toting quad-core phones sooner rather than later.
