The Nokia N9 – widely regarded as one of the best looking smartphones on the planet – has been spotted by those intrepid web explorers over at The Verge running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Intent on bringing the ICS experience to the N9, Alexey Roslyakov and the trusty team of modders from NITDroid have ported Android's latest OS to the Finnish company's iconic handset.
Still in its early stages, the project rocks a dual-boot solution – enabling the N9's outdated MeeGo OS and ICS to coexist on the N9. How's that for the best of both worlds?
Judging by the pictures, there are still a few creases that need ironing out. There's also no word on how well Android 4.0 is actually running on the device, or any instructions on how to give your N9 the Ice Cream Sandwich makeover. But we imagine these will be made available in the not too distant future.
