Let's be honest, it's not surprising that Samsung's launching a follow-up to its iPhone-killer the Galaxy S II – but the rumours are getting a little more concrete. The Samsung Galaxy S III has even been mentioned by the company's CEO as he debated its release date. But now it’s appeared on Samsung’s official page – albeit in the form of a listing.
The listings follow a numerical pattern, with the original Galaxy S listed as the GT-I90xx, the Galaxy S II appearing as the GT-I91xx and the Galaxy Nexus getting the GT-I9250 listing.
So when a listing for the GT–I9300 (below) appeared on Samsung’s site we got tingly with excitement – it looks like a pretty clear confirmation that the Galaxy S III is incoming.
Expect a ridiculously high-resolution screen, quad-core guts, 4G connectivity, slim body and super long-life battery. And if we’re lucky a Mobile World Congress announcement at the end of February.
