The iPhone Dev team behind the Absinthe A5 jailbreak has reported that nearly 1 million (953,232 to be exact) jailbreaks were recorded since its jailbreak solution was released to Mac users last Friday.
These numbers are expected to keep on climbing too, as the Absinthe A5 jailbreak was only made available to Windows users yesterday, who had to wait a few extra days to unshackle their iDevices.
Although a combination of 1 million iPhone 4S’ and iPad 2s may seem small compared to the total number of the devices in circulation, it’s still a very impressive figure and shows that people are more ready to tinker with their iThings and bypass Apple’s strict restrictions.
