Adobe update brings Flash to the Galaxy Nexus

Adobe update brings Flash to the Galaxy Nexus

The flagship Google phone gets its Flash badge at last.

Adobe has announced that its latest update to Flash Player 11 brings with it compatibility for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which will be welcome news for Galaxy Nexus owners who have been Flash-less since launch.

The update is good news too for the ever-increasing list of devices that are set to receive an update to Ice Cream Sandwich, including the Motorola Xoom 2, Samsung Galaxy series and the Asus Transformer Prime.

Ice Cream Sandwich looks set to be the last developed mobile OS for Flash support after Adobe announced that it would scrap future mobile Flash development in favour of HTML 5.

In the meantime however, Galaxy Nexus owners should head on over to the Android Marketplace and download the update for some sweet Flash video action.
