Kinect functionality a must for every future Xbox app

Kinect functionality a must for every future Xbox app

Microsoft: All future Xbox 360 updates and apps will support Kinect.

Microsoft has shown its commitment to its Kinect wonder-cam by stating that all future updates and apps must support Kinect movement and voice control functionality for navigation.

A standardised interface makes plenty of sense to us and the announcement strengthens the role of Kinect involvement with the Xbox 720

As for non-Kinect owners who prefer the use of traditional buttons and thumbsticks – have no fear, as Kinect navigation will always be optional. After all, not everyone is comfortable flailing their arms around and shouting at an empty room.
