Video: Ice Cream Sandwich works fine on budget tablets

Video: Ice Cream Sandwich works fine on budget tablets

The Archos G9 has been used to demo Android 4.0.1 on a tablet, and it looks amazing.

Android 4.0.1 Ice Cream Sandwich on a tablet looks beautiful (below video). Sure, the Archos G9 might not be the best slate to look at, but despite being a lower end tablet it seems to run the new OS quite happily (and, more importantly, smoothly). The video does make you appreciate how much better it looks on the Asus Transformer Prime, though.

But with prices starting at $329 for the Archos G9, it’s reassuring to know there will be tablets running Ice Cream Sandwich smoothly, that won't require you to take out a second mortgage.
