Never mind the fact it has the worst name in the history of online shopping, the Catch of the Day ELECTRO-vaganza Christmas Sale has some discounts that are worth checking out.
For the next 24 hours, the online retail store is offering cameras, notebooks, HD TVs, GPS units, headphones, iPhone docks and various other gadgets at discounted prices.
Here are a few deals that got our attention:
A Nikon Coolpix L110 compact digital camera for $179. The Coolpix L110 usually retails for $475, although we've previously seen it online for as cheap as $260. Still, that's a respectable saving of $81.
Altec Lansing Expressionist Speakers for $29 (RRP: $149). These things just look lovely. While we can't vouch for the sound quality, Altec Lansing is usually a good bet.

Navman MY50T GPS for $74.95. This GPS is 'factory refurbished' and only comes with 2009 Australian maps. Still, if you want to get your parents onto the GPS bandwagon this Christmas, it's one of the cheaper options available.

Toshiba Regza 46" Full HD 3D LED TV (46WL800A) for $999 (save $1330). Toshiba might not be a household name when it comes to HD TVs, but the 46WL800A model has received some favourable reviews online. Product highlights include inbuilt Wi-Fi, 400Hz ClearScan technology, a 7,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio and 3D functionality and PVR support. Plus, Catch of the Day shipping is capped at $10.
