The video below is of a working glass steam engine created by master glassblower Michal Zahradník. It's based on the design of 19th century inventor George Stephenson.
Everything from the crankshaft to the counterweight that makes the wheel spin evenly is constructed from glass, with no sealants used.
"The gap between the piston and its compartment is so small, that the water that condensates from the steam seals it shut," explains the website. To see this astonishing device in action, click on the video below:
