Draw Something is back, Google Now launches on iOS and robot unicorns are on the attack in this week’s pick of the best iPhone apps.

Draw Something 2

Free App Store
It’s been over a year since the original Draw Something had us all sending terribly drawn doodles to friends and strangers alike, and now the sequel has landed. Alongside 5,000 new words including new 9 letter words and phrases, there are more drawing tools and colours, the ability to ‘free draw’ anything you like and an all-new gallery feature where other players can see your past (attempted) drawings.

google now ios

Google Search

Free App Store
Google Search has had a major overhaul on iOS this week with the arrival of the previously Android-only Google Now. Now your iPhone and iPad can bring you customised information when you need it, making your smartphone and tablet experience smarter. That means bringing you the local weather as you’re getting ready in the morning or traffic alerts as you’re leaving for work. Plus the more you use it, the more it learns, so it’ll get even more useful over time.

focustwist

FocusTwist

$1.99 App Store
FocusTwist is a rather unique app that lets you snap a photo and change the focus later, Lytro-style. Okay, it may not magically turn your iDevice's camera into a light field snapper, but it does give you much more freedom with your photographs, allowing you to simply touch other areas in your snaps to shift the focus there. The app also shows you recent FocusTwist images uploaded to Twitter for inspiration, giving you similar options to share your own images over social media and email.

lego batman

Lego Batman: DC Super Heroes

$5.49 App Store
When Lego and DC Comics teamed up to make games, it was a match made in console gaming heaven. Now you can pack Lego DC superheroes in your pocket with this mobile game, in which the Caped Crusader teams up with a whole host of heroes to prevent Lex Luthor and The Joker from destroying Gotham City. You can play as one of 80 characters, including Superman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman, battling against bad guys that include the Penguin, Poison Ivy and Catwoman with utility belt's worth of clever gadgets and super powers.

robot unicorn attack 2

Robot Unicorn Attack 2

Free App Store
We’re not going to lie, this game grabbed our interest with its title alone. Who hasn’t fantasised about controlling an endless-running robot unicorn through a world of stars, space whales and rainbows? Building on the original viral hit, the sequel has two controls, jump and dash, for smashing your way through star walls and jumping from rock to rock. Along the way, you collect gems and fairies as you race through two different worlds that change layout every day. Unicorn customisation and ability boosts are of course par for the course, but we particularly like the ability to buy new 80s-tastic background music for a really personalised unicorn riding experience.
