Monash University is about to be over-run by Atomicans - again!
This time they'll be converging on the august center of lrning and edumaction for our first ever AtomicCon event, our massive celebration of gaming and the hardware that drives it. One of our sponsors and event partners is Western Digital, and we've been chatting with them about what attendees can expect on their stand.
Stuff!
More accurately, cool stuff, both old and new. WD's tech monkeys are re-working a sweet demo system to show off its hardware (and some more bits and bobs beside), and are building a whole new system into a shiny new CM Storm Trooper case - with a massive EIGHT HDDs! This new case is great for storage enthusiasts, and this will be a great chance to see it in action.
There'll also be a swathe of history on show, a selection of working drives dating back to a giant 62MB model from 1992, all the way up to more modern releases. In other words, PC hardware older than some Atomicans!
And, of coursem there'll be some neat giveaways, from the usual throw-em-at-the-crowd freebies to two brand new Velociraptor drives.
It's going to be a great day, so register now to see all this and a whole lot more!
