Asus Transformer Prime is world's fastest tablet

The Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core will clock 1.4GHz along with a whopping 2GB RAM

The Asus Transformer Prime, the next evolution from the Eee Pad Transformer, is super fast. The slither of shiny silver has cropped up online, according to Tech2, in a speed test that shows the Nvidia quad-core Tegra 3 Kal-El processor standing head-shoulders-and-top-hat above all other Android devices.

As you can see from the results below it was clocked at a stonking 1.4GHz. Not only is its CPU making the other devices look like Spectrum ZX brethren, but it is also said to have double the RAM of the Galaxy Nexus – a full 2GB.

With an Android Ice Cream Sandwich update confirmed, a slim keyboard, HD screen and blistering speeds all expected, we’re saving our pennies for the Asus Transformer Prime release that might be as soon as November 9.

If I understand this, it is comparing a Tablet with a bunch of Smart phones (excluding the Xoom).
Why would you compare it with those instead of Tablets ?
What was the point of this ?

Possibly because they use much of the same CPU and RAM inside tablets and phones? Screen and peripheral connections available excepted of course.

Or .. that's all they had time to dig up
Or .. they are just lazy?

And where is the Acer series in this comparison?

i mean, fair enough - my Iconia A500 is not gonna match these figures, but it's not a piece of crap, & the entire series (A500, A501, W500, W501) is not exactly hard to come by.

And it is not exactly void of merits as a device.
