iPad 3 units are going into production

Had your fill of the iPhone 4S? Time to set your sights on its bigger sibling…

Rumours that Apple's iPad 3 is in production are already circulating the interwebs just days after the iPhone 4S hit the shelves.

Allthingsd has reported that an analyst believes that the third generation Apple slate is heading in to production, with supply chain data suggesting that between 600,000 and 1 million iPad 3 units will be churned out in the fourth quarter of 2011.

If true, it would seem that Apple is ramping up production for the iPad 3's big reveal sometime next year, possibly once again in March.

We've already had a smattering of iPad 3 rumours earlier this year and recent whisperings of an iPad Mini have shown that the wheels of speculation are well and truly rolling.

Lets see how much of the iPad 3 has been copied from competitors that Apple tries to claim they invented.

Oh my God!

After months in these forums, at last one of those incredible precious moments!

An intelligently thought through and original comment! Must rush out and pass this on.

Excuse me, you're not one of those PC users by any chance? I've always thought it really presumptive of Apple to suggest they had the monopoly on thinking different, as if PC users just thought in cliches, without ever an original thought in their heads.
