I cannot think of any better news to the start the day - the Battlefield 3 multiplayer beta is starting on September the 29th.
The beta will be available here when it goes live, and will be open to all comers. Alternatively, you can sit back and feel smug because you've either pre-ordered via Origin, or bought the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor - because those latter folks will already have access confirmed. Even better, their's starts early on the 27th.
The beta is on all major platforms, and will feature the Operation Metro map on Rush mode. This is what we played at E3 and waxed lyrical about here. It's hella fun. The beta will also let players use the Battlelog social media service - which is totally free.
Time to email my EA contacts for a forum beta key giveaway... oh, wait... it's an open beta! Even better.
