Can we have an Android version of the Magazine please? I would buy it, and for more than "a dollar" :)

Great.

To be even-handed, is there a version suitable for other platforms - say PDF?

If not, what's the problem, is it difficult to do?

Much as I would like to see a version readable on the android platform, I think the problem is one of making sure people don't 'share' their digital copy. Android kinda lacks an Itunes store that makes it easy for the publisher to distribute a digital copy without too many worries about piracy. Maybe a digital mag place like Zinio? It's probably more about logistics and finding a place that can do it at a reasonable cost than any lack of will to do it on behalf of the Mag, i'd say.

Maybe someone from the Mag could chip in and let us know?

Really, magazines are passed from one person to the next, as books have been for generations.

If revenue is the worry (quite reasonable), then writing apps for all platforms [in particular the most popular smartphone OS] MAKES revenue - no?

This mag opines regarding more than one platform, so credibility suggests that the technical skills to write the appropriate Android/PC/(even Linux) app would presumably exist as well?

If not, Im sure someone could be contracted for very little money. Other platform versions can be ported easily enough.

Does the magazine have plans for other platforms to increase its income, or will it remain tied to one platform? Doing that reduces the credibility attained by being unbiased toward any particular software.

As suggested in an earlier post, is there an issue with piracy if it's on Android? Could understand the reluctance if that is so.

As for the weak excuse, magazines are handed...., a bit different to being able to hand on to millions via the net.

Is it a case of not enough Android market to make it worthwhile?

Response from the mag would be helpful to those waiting.

I beleive that if you search earlier repleis on this forum, you will find that PC &T started with the Ipad version due to the consumer base. If demand increases for other platforms, then the magazine will respond!
