Adobe updates Photoshop Express for iOS

Latest Adobe Photoshop Express 2.0 iOS update comes with new camera workflow and in-app purchases.

Anyone with an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3, third or fourth generation iPod Touch or an iPad can take advantage of the new features of Adobe Photoshop Express 2.0 for iOS. In addition to full multitasking and retina display support, the updated version of the app also features a refined camera workflow and the option to make an in-app purchase of the Adobe Camera Pack.

The in-app purchase is available as a free trial and includes a number of interesting enhancements and features. One of the problems with idevice cameras is that they can have a tendency to produce images that are plagued by noise. The new Reduce Noise feature of Adobe Photoshop Express can be used to quickly smooth out such problems, helping to create fair more impressive photos.

When taking photographs within the app rather than working with images already stored in your camera roll, you can take advantage of the Auto Review feature. This makes it possible to preview a photo as soon as it has been taken and opt to keep or delete it – this is a great way to ensure that you don’t waste valuable storage space with sub-standard images. There is also a new self-timer option that can be used to delay the taking of photographs by 3-10 seconds.

One of the key advantages of using Adobe Photoshop Express over other iOS photo editing tools was the fact that it was available free of charge. While the main app is still free, adding new features throough an in-app purchase will grate with some users. However, if you are using the app on a regular basis, the new camera tools are well worth the money and the results produced by the noise reduction filter are very impressive.

You can find out more and download a copy of the app by paying a visiting to the Adobe Photoshop Express 2.0 review page.
