Dead Island, the upcoming game from Techland, has kind of blindsided us. Out of nowhere, this zombie survival game suddenly has us waiting for its release with baited, zombie-flavoured breath.
Why?
Well, it's this wonderful, and deeply moving trailer. Our colleague John Gillooly from PCT&A (they hate it when you call it that) linked it around to most of the office this morning (after IGN got the exclusive reveal), and so far it's getting acclaimed as quite possibly one of the best game trailers of all time.

Yeah, if that doesn't tug your heart strings, you're probably mostly zombie yourself.
But what's that about the Coldplay thing? Well, one of the hit tracks from Coldplay's second album had a video that featured a very similar filmed-backwards set-up - and a kind of similarly fatal resolution...
