Yahoo Messenger 11 Beta released with new social features

Yahoo's beta version of its new instant messaging client includes more social networking features

Yahoo! has released a beta version of its instant messaging client Yahoo! Messenger. In version 11 of the popular IM client, there is a strong focus on social networking features. As well as providing the option to update your Facebook status and post comments from within the application, Yahoo! Messenger beta also makes it possible to conduct Facebook chats without the need to visit the web site.

The application can also be used to update your Yahoo! status and you can configure privacy settings so you can control who is able to see your posts. Another social networking feature adds the ability to play online games with your contacts, so you can battle it out in the likes of Mafia Wars.

With Android and iPhone versions of the app also available, you can synchronise your chats across multiple devices and never miss out on any part of the conversation. In addition to this, the software features support for Twitter, so you are presented with numerous ways of keeping in touch with your contacts.

The new beta version of the program now enables users to remain signed in in multiple locations and this helps to ensure the flow of a conversation as you move from one device to another.

You can find out more and download a copy of the Yahoo! Messenger 11 Beta by paying a visit to the software’s web page.
