You know the average game trailer set up - text crawl, maybe some dev doing an intro, then a minute or two of frenetic gameplay. The latest Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings trailer takes a different tack, though.
The Witcher 2 is all about non-linearity and tackling the game in whatever way you want, so of course that's what this trailer is about - watching the ways in which Geralt gets out of a particularly nasty scrape - but it's all told by a pretty lady and a grumpy dwarf telling the tale in a tavern, and arguing over who gets the story right.
It's a neat take, and works well to show off the wealth of choice in the game. It also shows off some of the brutal combat, from brawling and unarmed take-downs (elbow to the back of the skull - just say no) to wide-swinging sword-play.
And there might be boobs. But that could just be the dwarf getting fanciful.
The Witcher 2 comes out on PC (woo!) in the first quarter of next year.
