Australia's Internet filter: vote in the online poll

Would you vote for a political party that supports the internet filter?

It's well known that the Internet content filter being proposed - and recently postponed - is opposed by a vocal segment of the Internet community. But would it change your vote?

Now a number of technology sites are running a poll asking whether you would vote for a political party that supported the filter. Have your say by voting below.

The government has postponed on any mandatory filter, and in the meantime several ISPs will voluntarily block child abuse sites, though Internode reportedly will not be implementing this filtering.

That, Nato, is because there is no poll as such on the page.

I suspect that what William wants is for people to, in affect, nail their colours to the mast and post their thoughts in the forum and comments section instead of anonymously ticking a box.

If you wanted to vote for a party that doesn't support a filter, I think that that would have to be the Greens.

I don't remember the Libs coming out and saying they'd block the filter. Or remove it if they were to be elected after it was implemented.

or it might just be a stuff up...
