Apple is reportedly shipping new iPhone 3G S handsets with an updated bootrom to prevent users jailbreaking their phones
If you were thinking about treating yourself to the new iPhone 3GS with plans of jailbreaking it, you may well come in to problems with reports Apple is cracking down on people messing around with its phone.

Reports are suggesting that Apple is shipping a new bootrom with new iPhone 3G S handsets that is resistant to the jailbreaking process.

One of the members of Dev-Team, who first discovered the jailbreaking process has confirmed the bootrom update exists and said it would make jailbreaking new iPhone's "impossible", at least for now.

The jailbreaking process allows users to add apps that haven't been approved by Apple, and despite voiding your warranty, plenty of iPhone users have turned to the dark side in order to have greater control over their phone and what's on it.

Have you jailbroken your iPhone? What do you think to Apple's move to stop it? Let us know what you think below, and be sure to check out our top 10 smartphones to see how Apple's handset fares.

"...with reports Apple is cracking down on people messing around with its phone."

Surely, after I buy one it's MY phone and I can do what I like with it.

By purchasing an Apple product I am not agreeing to their commercial agreements with third parties that prevent me from using My product the way I want to use it.

This new phone will be Jailbroken just as its predecessors were and there's NOTHING Apple can do about it.
