Will Wright, creator of The Sims and Spore, has revealed his plans for new computer games working with real life robots.
Stupid Fun Club, Wright's new start-up company, is working on robots that can fight and make friends. "We've taught robots to be social," he told Wired, "They can converse. Building robots is not that different from programming Sims."
Wright's plans for Stupid Fun Club include games that will combine television, toys and traditional gaming. And it seems he's also been punking passersby.
Wired reports that the Stupid Fun Club inventors took a smashed-up robot into the street with a hidden camera and set it to beg humans for help. Some ignored it, some stopped to talk, some took it apart for spares. The swines!
