Asus launch new laptop, netbook range - more Eee PC's on the way

Asus have launched their new 2009 range with a bunch of improved netbooks and laptops with better battery specs, better keyboards, touch screens and one model that disperses negative ions.

Netbook happy: Eee PC 1004DN

This 10" netbook boasts a Super-Multi optical disc drive, something you don't see too often with ultraportable's these days. The 92% keyboard is nifty for fingers with the bigger right shift key a handy addition. Bluetooth 2.1 is great for mobile portability.

  • 10" LCD
  • 720p high definition
  • 1.3mp webcam
  • 130GB storage
  • Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) for better battery life of 5.9 jhours
  • Bluetooth v2.1
  • 1GB Ram

Asus N series

The N series is Asus speciality multimedia lineup. Designed for gamers, there are three new models that make up the N series.

netbook... from $900??? I don't think so!

when will these manufacturers understand, netbook = cheap additional laptop for whn you dont want to carry around something heavy or expensive?

when these first came out and were around $400 no wonder they sold out fast. $400 to $500 is what we should be paying - and watch out for the high markups for living in Australia! Makes you want to find a US company willing to send one to you... global economy! yeah right... more like global window shopping so you know how much you're getting ripped off!
