Refresh your Xbox 360 games with a host of downloadable expansion packs on the way

Microsoft has revealed the release dates and pricing for its next slugs of downloadable add-on content, this time for its flagship blockbuster titles Halo 3 and Gears of War 2.

The Snowblind map pack for Gears of War 2 will arrive on Xbox Live on 31st March, and will bestow four new winter-themed multiplayer arenas on the chainsaw-wielding shoot 'em up: Grindyard, Under Hill, Courtyard, and a new frozen edition of Fuel Depot. It'll be 800 Microsoft Points.

Halo 3, meanwhile, is getting three new maps courtesy of the Mythic map pack, also priced at 800 MSP and available on 9th April. They're called Sandbox, Assembly and Orbital.

Xbox Live users should also be aware that tomorrow, 24th March, sees the launch of The Pitt add-on for Fallout 3, and that the first piece of DLC for Left4Dead, called the Survival Pack, will debut 21st April.
