If you've been following the Fake Stephen Conroy Twitter controversy, you might be wondering who else is getting the fake treatment on Twitter.
You can find a growing number of famous, interesting, and not so interesting people on Twitter, including Kevin Rudd (16,296 followers), Barack Obama (498,249 followers), Stephen Fry (318,936 followers), Kevin Rose (310,748 followers), Snoop Dogg (56,985 followers), Kevin Smith (97,873 followers) and David Lynch (33,062 followers).
And like Fake Stephen Conroy, the fake Twitter celebrity seems to be proving popular. Take Christopher Walken (or "Chris Walken" as he is known on Twitter), who is drawing a crowd of more than 35,000 followers with such pearls of wisdom as:
"I claim to be frightened of horses but do so only to get out of attending parades. It's peculiar but has served me well. The horses get it."
...or this insight into the mind of "cwalken":
"I posed for dozens of photos in California last week. I closed my eyes or made a face in nearly every one. Sorry. I amuse myself this way."

For followers of the new breed of fake Twitter celebrities, whether they're the real Mcoy probably isn't the point.
And now that Twitter directories are cropping up, listing celebrities famous for music, movies and politics, finding your favourite fake (or real) celebrity Twitterer is even easier.
