Dell launches touchscreen iMac-baiter – but only in Japan for now

Dell has launched an iMac-baiting all-in-one PC dubbed the Studio One 19, available in a variety of colours and stuffed with such (optional) goodies as Blu-ray, webcam, 750GB of storage and an 18.5-inch widescreen display that reportedly offers touch-sensitive glass panels.

We’re not exactly sure what these touch panels do, but if we had to guess we’d say they’re simply to control the display settings and probably switch the PC on and off.

While the Studio One 19 is a bit of a looker and seems quite well loaded spec and feature-wise, don’t get your credit card out just yet - for some reason Dell has decided to debut the computer in Japan, with no indication of when it might make the journey westwards.

It’ll be priced at 149,800 yen in Japan, so get saving for that flight to the Far East right now.
