5 new phones we want to see at Mobile World Congress

Half the hottest phones may already be out there, but here's five we're absolutely gagging to clamp eyes on in Barcelona

Garmin nuvifone G60
It's been so long since the nuvifone was announced, we'd forgotten it existed. But now Asus and Garmin have confirmed it's coming as part of their mobile love–in, we're expecting to get some serious hands–on time with it next week. Anything to see how the ultimate satnav phone is going to square up to the competition.

Asus Eee Phone
Everyone already knows it's coming, but no one's seen it yet. So surely MWC would be the best time for the Asus Eee Phone to break cover. The betting is it'll be small, cheap and come running everyone's favourite OS, Google Android. Come on Taiwan, don't let us down!

Sony Ericsson Hikaru
The Hikaru has already hit the net, but we're desperate to see it in its official clobber. With 8GB on board, plus an 8MP camera, it's sure to be Sony Ericsson's hottest handset at this year's show. With HSDPA and the 3.5mm jack we've been gagging for, it's set to be a winner.

T–Mobile G2
All talk about the G2 has gone quiet after countless rumours about its imminent arrival. We do know the G1's successor won't have a QWERTY keyboard, but will rock a slicker frame and better snapper. Add multitouch from the get go and we really will be in business.

Archos Android Internet Tablet
Archos' Android 'Internet tablet' broke free this week, but the French PMP guys are being seriously coy about giving over any pics to go with its impressive spec sheet. We just want to see how you get 500GB and HD playback into a 10mm thin bod'. And see whether at 5in, it's too big for its boots.
