Samsung Electronics has updated its netbook line with a new mini laptop that adds a larger display but carries a higher price tag.
Available overseas (we've contacted Samsung but no local info yet on availability) , the NC20 is the second model in Samsung's N series, and features a larger 12.1in display.
The new model is said to be very similar to the NC10, except that it has a larger display and is based on a 1.3GHz Via Nano processor rather than the more common Intel Atom.
As with many other netbook models, the NC20 has 1GB of memory, a 160GB hard drive, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and ships with Windows XP Home edition.
With a 12.1in screen, the NC20 is larger than most other netbooks. Along with a few other models, such as Dell's Inspiron Mini 12, it blurs the boundaries between netbooks and traditional ultra-portables, like Toshiba's Portégé R600, that still tend to be costly by comparison.
