Are you interested in making HD movies on your digital camera? Sony may have a portable solution with its latest DSC-T500 model.
Times are changing in digital camera land. Once upon a time, it was all about the power of the megapixel. Then it was facial recognition, and soon after - the touch screen.
Now, the hot new function appears to be HD. So it’s not that surprising to hear that industry juggernaut Sony is following the likes of Panasonic and Kodak (just to name a few) and pushing HD features into their latest T series range.
The $649 Sony DSC-T500 allows users to switch between high quality 10.1MP stills and HD movie quality mode at the touch of a button. The T500 also boasts some nice specs including: 3.5 inch LCD screen, a convenient HDMI connection (for full SONY BRAVIA compatibility), advanced facial detection technology and a sweet 5x optical zoom for better close-ups.
All HD movies are saved in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format, for excellent 720p quality. There’s also a HD ‘Photo Music’ function that allows you to combine your pictures with your favourite tunes. The T500 comes in red, black and silver and is available in stores now.
