Blackberry pics leaked to thunderous applause

It's nothing like the iPhone, honest. Meet the possible, rumoured, might-happen, iPhone killer.
An anonymous source has passed along images of the Blackberry Thunder to blackberrysync, showing off its new OS and media player for the very first time.

This source, which has already sparked controversy on other sites such as Engadget over the authenticity of the images, posted shots of the BlackBerry 9500 and its massive 360x480 touch-screen glass-display apparently running OS 4.7.

We recently spent some time with the soon-to-be-released Bold handset and can confirm that the new OS version 4.6 does look very similar to the one featured in accompanying photos. The phone is said to be Blackberry's take on the Iphone and really being its first ever consumer, consumer mobile they’ve kicked into touch. There are even talks of it rocking up with access to a music store akin to the iPhone iTunes offering, for users to purchase tracks for the device.

We did ask Blackberry at the weekend if content portals are in the works and they just responded with "talks are underway".

Looks nice. :)

Can't wait to see the specifications if it is indeed an upcoming product.

Wow, that does look awful pretty. The media player shots look nice and clean.

I am getting tired of the tag 'iPhone killer' though :(.

I really want a iPhone Nano to be honest, not another iPhone. The iPhone as it is is too big for me :(

I know its meant to reach a internet market and I know that scaling will probably become a problem for the iPhone Nano in terms of using the internet. But as a phone that can occasionally browse the internet with a touch interface, why can't it be done? Im sure someone will jump onto the idea eventually.
