There are some very, very sad and lonely people out there. People who are buying free t-shirts from Apple on eBay need to go outside and discover a world of amazing things. People and their cultures, sight seeing and great things, languages, books and history. These people should have a jail sentence against them where they are banned from wearing their earphones for a long time and being involved in their own little Nano world. GET A LIFE YOU SAD PEOPLE!
Comment made about the PC Authority article: Sydney Apple Store T-shirts worth big dollars on eBay? Entrepreneurial Apple fans have turned lengthy 24 hour waits (and longer) into lucrative auction dollars by selling their commemorative T-shirts on eBay to the tune of big dollars.

I totally agree with M9ROC...
I heard on the radio that night, that someone had been lining up since 6am. What did they buy you ask?
An iTunes gift card! Woah! Don't go too crazy now....
But they got their free tshirt! That was worth it I'm sure... |

Have you never lined up for a concert before? Or a movie? Cherished the excitement of being one of the first to attend any kind of event?
It's all about passion one person has; the interest they invest.
Listen, it's the journey, not the destination. You only get out of life what you put in.... |

Just that some people like to buy other people's history and collect what they didn't earn. Where's the excitement in that? What's to cherish in a t-shirt that someone bought for $150 for the efforts in someone else queing?

I totally understand waiting in line for tickets for concerts, meeting an idol, etc. But for a store opening to get a free tshirt? For me personally, no thanks. |

Once again, you're not getting a T-shirt, you're getting an experience. In all that waiting, do you think that those people worried about the size of the T-shirt or the color? The T-shirt obviously represents symbolic value to these people. It's not just 'another T-shirt'. It's more than that. Most of those people would of still lined up even to recieve no T-shirt at all. The experience, no matter how invalid it is to you holds a certain level of satsifaction and excitement to these people. Just in the same way that you won't be attracted to the same person I will be, or like the same hobbies and eat all the same food. If you prefer facism as one has remarked before, then it's best you understand the disilluisonment of that particular system.
In waiting in line, there is a level of indivual silence which is enough to make these people feel right about their descion to wait long hours. It can be summed up like this: “Do not speak unless you can improve the silence” & “Silence is a source of great strength.” (old Chinese proverbs) |
