Internode claims its massive ADSL2+ rollout is being "held back", with capacity problems in 10 exchanges.
The ISP's ADSL2+ services are now operating from a total of 106 exchanges (where Internode has its own DSLAMs), but the ongoing stoush with Telstra over access continues.
In this latest round, Internode says the deployment schedule is being "held back",
claiming 10 exchanges on its list have "limited capacity".
“Of the 106 exchanges we have equipped with our own DSLAM gear, 10 have limited capacity due to Telstra either restricting access to the exchange or declaring it full,” said CEO Simon Hackett.
Hackett and Internode, along with iPrimus, have been vocal criticis of Telstra, arguing the carrier should allow open up access to its nationwide ADSL2+ network, and arguing access for competing ISPs is being held up by delays.
In the latest statement, Internode listed how many locations in each state where there are exchanges equipped with Internode DSLAMs:
- NSW: 21
- VIC: 12
- QLD: 10
- WA: 3
- ACT: 13
- TAS: 2
- SA: 45
