Throw down a $100 deposit on the Optus site, and you can jump the queue come launch-day.
The advantage is priority queuing, with people who have pre-ordered via the site getting in two hours before the less-dedicated Apple fans. Optus says all deposits will be refunded within 5 days of the iPhone launch.
Vodafone has also announced it will take pre-orders online at iphone.vodafone.com.au, though the url supplied this morning is currently redirecting to the Vodafone main site at the time of writing.
Vodafone has revealed one small snippet of info - it will offer the iPhone on contract or prepay plans.
There has not been any announcement from Telstra that it will offer the iPhone on it's Next G network, which would offer the greatest coverage at the fastest 3G speeds.
