Apple Stores headhunting retail staff

Apple Stores headhunting retail staff
Jun 6, 2008
You're amazing. We should talk. Think you've got what it takes to be selling the Mac dream, read on.
Rapid expansion of Apple's retail operation has led the Cupertino Cabal to turn to some unusual recruitment tactics.

IFO Apple Store, a Web Site which reports exclusively on the comings and goings at Apple's 300 or so High Street sites throughout the world, has revealed that the company is so desperate for quality staff, that recruiters are handing out enticement cards to people whom they think have offered excellent customer service.

The business-size cards, which have the legend 'You're Amazing. We should talk' printed on the front side, flip over to say: 'Your customer service just now was exceptional. I work for the Apple Store and you're exactly the kind of person we'd like to talk to. If you're happy where you are, I'd never ask you to leave. But if you're thinking about a change, give me a call. This could be the start of something great.'

The recruiters then write in their contact information at the bottom of the card.

So, if you're serving someone in an Apple T-shirt, give them an extra nice smile with their Grandé skinny caramel latte. A free bikkie wouldn't hurt either.

You could be flogging Macbook Airs by this time next week.
