Asus to add Imac rival to Eee range?

File this in the unconfirmed overseas rumour basket: is an all-in-one Eee desktop coming in September this year?
The rumour says Asustek is planning to release the EeeMonitor, a built-into-the-screen, compact solution along the same lines as the Apple Imac.

According to PC World, the new desktop will follow the Eee range's policy of cheap 'n' cheerful computing on a budget, so don't expect anything of Apple's industrial glass and aluminium chic, or its wallet-withering price point. Or anything more advanced in the OS stakes than Linux or Windows XP.

Jerry Shen, who let slip the news of the upcoming addition at a recent press briefing, would not comment on possible configurations or pricing.
