It's called the FunFab, and it's a digital photo frame with a printer inside. Your friends like what they see? Just print them off a photo.
Abit had one quite unique thing on the floor at Computex, and it makes so much sense that I am shocked that no one else has done it before. The idea is a digital photo frame with integrated printer, and Abit calls it the FunFab.
It seems like such an obvious thing to do, but not only is Abit the first, they also patented it. It just makes sense though, you have a picture on the frame, and the grandmother over for the holidays really wants a copy. The 'old way' meant going to a PC, finding the pic, and printing it out on your inkjet with questionable results.
With a FunFab, you hit the print button on the remote, and a 3x5 pic slides out the side. Grandmother is happy, you have far less work to do, and Abit shareholders are happy.
There are several size models. Both are 600*300 res, and the printer is a 300 DPI dye sublimation unit that produces high quality prints. You can get new cartridges of course, and given HP's balance sheet, it should be a lucrative business for Abit.
You can also interchange the bezels to change the look, there is everything from mirrors to wood to carbon fiberesque finishes. The first FunFabs should be out next month.
