We've seen all-in-one TVs before, but this one grabbed our attention. Looks handy for plugging in a portable USB drive and playing those DivX movies.
Relative newcomer Kogan based in Melbourne, have been making in-roads on the Australian market with their competitively price consumer electronics range which includes GPS, digital photo frames and LCD monitors.

This week saw the company launch its PRO series of LCD TVs including 19" and 22" models. Something of a trojan horse, these unique all-in-one displays house a DVD player, standard digital TV tuner, plus USB and HDMI ports and a memory card slot.

While it's still unclear exactly which video formats the optical drive supports, we welcome news that the USB port and SD/MMC/MS card slot will happily playback DivX, avi and jpg files stored on external drives (an internal hard drive would complete the picture).

The WXGA display offers 1440x900 resolution, 800:1 contrast ratio and 5ms response time which should make it ideal for use as your main computer monitor as well. Though with only a pair of 5w integrated speakers to handle the audio, we're not expecting you'll be packing away your home theatre surround system in a hurry.

While these PRO products have recommended price tags of $449 (19") and $599 (22"), Kogan has also set-up shop on eBay where bargain hunters can expect to pick them up even cheaper.

gmackay - looks nice, TEAC doesn't make any mention of DivX though.
