Sony's twin HDMI projector - twice as much cinema

Sony's twin HDMI projector - twice as much cinema

Loaded up your laptop with high-def movies? Sony's new projector with twin-HDMI inputs feels the love for both laptops and Blu-Ray boxes.

The new VPL-VW40 Full HD SXRD Home Theatre Projector also features an ultra quiet 22dB fan so it won’t drown out the soundtrack (like some projectors have be known to do) and can produce an HD-quality picture from over 7 metres away using a fully motorised zoom lens, which is handy if you have the space to impress.

It also supports 24 frame of pure digital cinema, which is perfectly suited to BlueRay. The Bravia engine takes care of the heavy duty image processing, so your projected films might look better than some of the home cinemas we've reviewed.

At $4669 it's a relatively pricey option, considering you can find a 30+ inch Bravia LCD for around $1,500. But if it's humongous images you're after, you can't go wrong here. Finding a spare wall space to display them could be the tricky part.
