Internode have just announced they will be cutting some of the prices and fees on their newly released VOIP plans.
Internode is slashing the establishment fee for its Nodephone2 service, which allows users to make and receive calls, saving customers $20. Nodephone2 pricing will also drop from $20 to $10 a month and from $30 to $20 each month on the premium plan.
Jim Kellet, product manager of Internode said that "by eliminating price barriers to adoption, we make it easy for anyone to choose NodePhone, regardless of whether they are an existing Internode broadband customer or not.”
Internode is pushing for an aggressive introduction of their Nodephone services, and now claims the service covers over 2100 telephone zones across Australia.
We welcome these price changes as it was noted in our recent assessment of Internode's VOIP products in our Naked DSL Buyer's Guide, that they needed to move towards more competitive pricing in the VOIP marketplace.
Internode has also just launched the 'Nodephone Multiline' service which allows customers fast access to multiple telephone channels on demand.
